Cam Levins won the mile (3:54.74) and 2-mile (8:15.38): “(After the mile) I sat on the wall over here and changed my shoes and sat down for a second. I went downstairs and jogged maybe a minute or two and basically had some water, got my spikes and went onto the track. It went by pretty quick.”

Jordan Hasay won the 2-mile in 9:38.28: “On that last lap I just really tried to work on my form, focus on elbows in and swinging my arms back. I’ve been closing really well in practice. It’s just about believing and executing it in the race…it’s about being there at the end. The Oregon Project focuses about winning medals so we really work on that last 400 so we can close because ultimately that’s where you win medals.”

Mary Cain finished fifth in the 800m in 2:02.75: I’m honestly disappointed. I know I’m in shape to run faster. I thought I got out fast, but it’s a different `getting out fast' for the 800. I’ve got to say I’m Impressed by Ajee’ (Wilson). She was back there with me and I freaked out. She found the perfect opening and I didn’t. By the time I was making my move it was a little too late. Honestly, I can’t wait to get back into the 1500. I know what the hell I’m doing. You know, I’ve run 1:59 (in the 800) before. But that was the perfect race, the perfect day.”

WIll Claye won the triple jump with 16.93m: “It was a good opener. I’m changing a lot of things technically. For me to be able to open up with the changes I just made is really good. Once I really get it down it’s going to be kind of scary. Today was really good as far as the competition and the crowd – I really love competing here at The Armory. These kids make me feel like I’m at home and I’m from the West Coast. I really enjoy competing here and feeding off the crowd.”

“I’ll be back for the Millrose for the long jump. I’m also switching my technique in the long jump. That’s something I’m working on too and it’s going to help. I won’t be in Boston next week, but I will be there for the (USTAF) Championships."

Patrick Casey anchored Team USA's World Record Breaking DMR (3:56.48): “These guys built up such a big lead I would have had to die out there to let the lead go... I’m supposed to go work out after this. I may celebrate by sitting it out.”
