Former Alabama star Quanesha Burks won the women's invitational long jump with a first-round leap of 22-1 (6.73m) at the Dr. Sander Invitational Columbia Challenge at The Armory in New York. Burks, who had all six attempts over 21-4 (6.50), eclipsed the meet record and produced the No. 2 mark in the world this indoor season.
