Brigham Young senior Whittni Orton placed second in the women's invitational mile in a program record 4:29.76, trailing only American professional Nikki Hiltz (4:29.39) at the Dr. Sander Invitational Columbia Challenge at The Armory in New York. Hiltz and Orton produced the top two times in the world during this indoor season. Orton also elevated to the No. 13 all-time indoor collegiate performer.
